Background & Training

About
Ever since "The Empire Stroke Back" on TV one Christmas afternoon, I have been captivated by films. Eager to learn how they are made, I immersed myself in countless books and interviews. It took detours through science, art, and travels though till I finally found the courage to follow my heart all the way. In 2013, I embarked on a journey to learn the craft of filmmaking, and eventually found my passion in the cutting room.
Since then, I've been collaborating with various directors, producers, musicians, a theatre company, and independent media channels as a freelance editor.
I've had the privilege of contributing to a few major projects, including a 53-minute documentary that won at the Berlin Independent Film Festival. In the past two years, I edited also longer scripted short films from scratch (up to 36 minutes), and discovered my passion for sound design.
I'm proficient in all the standard editing software (Avid, Premiere Pro, FCPX, DaVinci Resolve, depending on the project). Directors and colleagues, however, appreciate my highly collaborative and passionate nature, the creativity I bring along with deep and thoughtful questions and my honest interest in their visions the most.
